Never Give Up strives to maintain the understanding that everyday living and functioning can be overwhelming to some individuals and families. Never Give Up professionals meet individuals where they are, and assist them in working through the barriers that they face to achieve their success. Never Give Up will help client’s meet their goals through a 360 treatment model including therapy, medication management, neurofeedback, rehabilitative mental health services, crisis intervention, and vocational rehabilitation. These services are available to support each client in moving towards their individual goals.

The Never Give Up Foundation was formed for charitable and educational purposes. Specifically the mission of the Never Give Up Foundation is to bridge the gap between learning disabled children, their parents, and the schools by showing them how to let go of the fears and stigma associated with learning disabilities so that they have hope for the future.

When we approach a challenge with patience and curiosity it begins to feel less like a crisis and more like an opportunity for personal growth. The Never Give Up team works with learning disabled individuals, their families and their teachers on ways to build emotional stability and social awareness in the classroom, at home and in the community.

About Us

Never Give Up Youth Healing Center (NGUYHC) serves clients with behavioral, emotional, psychiatric, and/or psychological disorders or conditions, whose needs are no longer being met in acute care, or in a less restrictive setting, and who meet medical necessity and admissions criteria for residential services.

The co-occurring treatment offered at NGUYHC includes individual, group, and family therapy sessions. A strong cognitive-behavioral approach undergirds treatment at NGUYHC along with prosocial modeling. As different individuals have different strengths and deficits which may impact the effectiveness of particular treatment approaches, the program at NGUYHC incorporates the risks-needs-responsivity model to help determine appropriate level of service and the most meaningful activities for each client.

About Us

Mathew L. Cox spent both his elementary and middle school years thinking there was something wrong with his brain.

For him, school work was a daunting, frustrating and often embarrassing challenge. He was the kid who never seemed to catch up with his classmates, no matter how hard he tried. “Growing up with a disability was like having an elephant in the room that nobody wants to talk about,” Cox explained. Being diagnosed with a learning disability during his high school years helped him finally put a name to the problem, and to begin his journey to personal and academic success. “I’ve learned to befriend my elephant, I’ve named him George,” Cox said. “George is not going away but I can choose how I feel about him. We need to take the “dis” out of disability and embrace our elephant for who he (or she) is!”
